Step 1: Free Consultation

One of our Certified M&A Professionals will schedule a confidential, 60-minute, in-person or online meeting to discuss your business and goals.

Before our consultation, we send you a signed confidentiality agreement, detailing the strict confidentiality and code of ethics we follow. Any information you share with Murphy Business Sales of New Jersey is kept strictly confidential.

Business Analysis

Step 3: Business Analysis

We conduct a preliminary business analysis to gain a clear picture of your business. The analysis includes reviewing three years of financials, your organization and a discussion of your operations. We review our analysis with you and our action plan to market your business successfully.

Business Valuation

Step 4: Business Valuation

Once you engage our services, we gather more information to create a Calculation of Value Report for your business. We use respected, certified, third-party appraisers to complete this report.

Confidential Memorandum

Step 5: Confidential Memorandum

Our advisors create a detailed Confidential Information Memorandum. This multi-page report highlights your business’s financial strengths and operations that may be confidentially shared with pre-screened, potential buyers.

Launching & Buyer Screening

Step 6: Launching & Buyer Screening

We create a dynamic, customized, multi-faceted marketing plan to sell your business. We launch that plan utilizing our regional, national and global networks. Potential buyers are pre-screened and must sign our non-disclosure agreement before receiving any confidential information about your business.

The Close

Step 7: The Close

Once a Letter of Intent (LOI) or Indication of Interest (IOI) is agreed upon, we coordinate due diligence and recommend lenders, attorneys and accountants, if needed. Once a definitive Purchase Agreement is reached, we work closely with the attorneys and lenders to finalize the sale.
